Just wanted to update my review since it has been 11 years and still love it as much as I did when my family first started going there in the 90s. I heard there were new owners and was worried, but one of their very own took over as I overheard this evening and he is the nicest and most genuine guy. I remember him from when I was young so it still feels and looks like the same Flamingos it has always been, the decor inside is exactly the same and makes you feel like you're in Cancun or a tropical island. The food is still great and the service is amazing. The hot chips and their signature salsa are absolutely delightful, but try to limit your intake or you may fill up too fast! Excellent Margaritas and Crispy chicken tacos. Enjoyed my experience very much! Great place to go with friends and family. They also have Taco Tuesday specials. The waiters were excellent. Service was spectacular and never an empty basket of chips . Great prices!
We have been coming to Flamingos for good authentic Mexican food for some time now. Service is always quick and very friendly. The food is very consistent and absolutely delicious! Nowadays I have noticed that most restaurants have raised prices and cut portions. Not here! The portions are abundant and the pricing is very reasonable. Keep up the good work Flamingos!
We have been coming to flamingos for over 20 years since we moved to Laguna hills. We've always enjoyed the local vibe, locally owned restaurant by a family that is well known for its Mexican restaurants in the area (Franco's, El Cortez, Casa France, etc...) So Mr. Franco sold the restaurant. It was time for him to retire and good for him. The best part is one of his waiters, who had been with him forever, bought the restaurant. It's so nice to see a great place like this passed down from an owner to one of the hard-working waiters and keep the legacy going! If you're somebody like me, who likes to support locally owned businesses, please go to flamingos. This is stick to your ribs Mexican food, high-powered margaritas and good times. Support your local.

It was a Tuesday and I was craving tacos.... Wait a minute.... It's taco Tuesday time !!!! Realizing this my husband and I drove over to Flamingos. On Tuesdays their chicken and beef tacos are $2.99. Yes I know, tacos are no longer $1. We both ordered some chicken and beef tacos and it definitely hit the spot! My favorite was the chicken tacos topped with their salsa and tapatio for some added spice. Their service is definitely a "5". Great service! Great place for all the locals to come by to enjoy some good Mexican eats.
